Oh and another useless factoid...

Dr. Martin Cooper (then Director of research at Motorola) made the first call on a portable cell phone in April 1973. He made the call to his rival, Joel Engel, Bell Labs head of research. Bell Laboratories introduced the idea of cellular communications in 1947 with the police car technology. However, Motorola was the first to incorporate the technology into portable device that was designed for outside of a automobile use.

An idea is delicate.
It can be killed by a sneer or yawn,
It can be stabbed to death by a joke
Or worried to death by a frown
On the right persons brow.

I love the Microsoft mouse... "for use with Microsofts new Word Processing software". I'll bet I'm not the only one here who remembers Microsoft Word in it's pre-Windows days.

I even remember saying "Do you think Intel will ever make a 586 processor? Can you imagine how fast that would be?"

</old fart>
