This is a new sports car of my own design. Certainly influenced from other designs but my own. All nurbs.
I'm working on more details and trying to figure out mental ray. Just slapped a cement texture from the texture library on the ground plane and a sky I had kicking around.
So far I'm pretty excited with mr but not really secure in getting it to work.

Hi - I know it's kind of a different look but yeah, that's how I designed it. I'm not sure if that's really an effective way to design a sports car or not as far as weight distribution goes. On the other hand - I think it looks kind of unique. I'm going to detail it a bit more and then I'll post some other views.

hehe...yeah right... the only thing they are going to do is smile and forward it right to the designdeparment and they will start drawing there own creation of it...
..unless you know somebody there..
Obviously with the open wheel at the back I'm going to have to do a lot of modeling. Lots of details and I'm doing it in spare time so it'll move a little slowly.

some views of the vehicle with wires. Basic nurbs construction methods used here. Birails, Lofts, Extrudes, fillets and lots of trims. Kind of finicky work. But fun.
All comments critique etc. much welcome

I redid the front end as it was looking sloppy. Of course there's still no place for a license plate but it's a fantasy car so...
There's now a hood, details on the headlights, a few minor fixes with textures etc. and a rearview mirror.
Any comments or crits most welcome.
Rendered in Mental ray - trying to figure out how it works. I'd like to do a bg. fog with mental ray - anyone who can tell me how or point me in the direction of a tutorial let me know.
