Nope .. no CG .. the real deal .. guy takes a whole bunch of photos, even astronomical ones. Quite astonishing some of those images...

Shooting lightning isn't that hard. Basically you hold the shutter open until the lightning strikes and then close it. You just have to have some luck because you never know where the lightning is going to hit user added image Might take some experimenting on the iris settings and on the film choice user added image

Btw, I've seen a lightning strike from 30 meters away from me. Scared the bgsus out of me user added image
