Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Anyone tried 3D Bodypaint?

Have any of you tried 3D body paint? It look like a nice product. Its mostly integrated with Cinema4D but it can also be used with Maya. It seems like a great tool for texturing/UVing.

Once your UV's are mapped (automatically or otherwise) these programs are nice to use.

From what I've seen, this program lets you paint quite high level textures directly onto you model as well as various options, (Bump, spec, etc...) I was actually looking to get a program like this and this was on the list....

Another program you might want to look at is Deep Paint 3d
