Lightwave terminology to Maya terms

Does anyone know of a resource where I could find the equivalent of a translator between Lightwave terms and Maya terms?

For example: Lightwave uses "Band Saw". The equivalent in Maya seems to be "Split Polygons."

Does Maya even have something like "Spin Quads", "Symmetry", or "Smooth Shift"?

Thanks.

Hate to sound completely stupid, but then, why stop now.

What's AW's homepage?

Thanks,

My suggestion to you (as a LightWave user) would be to do as I did and download some of the free tutorials. Mike’s tutorials cover most of the command “changes” you will encounter. There are NO direct changeover in commands you will just have to get your head into a slightly different workflow technique.

Don’t be put off by the differences (and especially don’t simply stop using LightWave – every piece of software has its particular strengths which you will forget if you stop using it for an extended time). These are to excellent pieces of software so do as much as you can, in each. It is only by using a thing that you improve !!
