This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i
It's been a while so Happy New Year to all of you.
I couldn't really get back into making my car after so long off so I thought I'd start something new. It's a speeder bike from Return of the Jedi, I rekon you'd probably guess that from the title of the post though. I'm trying my hand at sub-d's and am not entirely sure I'm comfortable using them but hey I'll give it a shot!
The 2 halves are not joined as I am not finished modeling yet and the shader is just to make it look a little prettier. As usual I'll be pleased with any crit or suggestions,
Here's an update on my progress. I've built the engine block, good ol' polygons, much easier to understand!! There will be more updates as and when. Have fun,
Cheers RC, can't agree with you more about them sub-d's! There will be an update very soon.
Thanks also Element_Khaos, I made the tubes by extruding a nurb circle along a curve that I made following the path of the tube on the speeder. I set the output at poly with a count of 800 then selected every other ring of faces and extruded them inwards. there is probably an easier way to do this but it seemed the most logical one at the time. Hope that has explained it, having looked at what I've written I wouldn't blame you if you had less of a clue than before!!
Here we go then, I've pretty much done the back end of the stabilisers and put a little more work into the engine. Hope you all like it. More updates on their way, 'till then enjoy,
Cheers for the encouragement, much appreciated. Here's a quick update, it's not much but the I rekon the fins kind of complete the shape. There is still much to do though, I'm determined to finish this one properly!!
