Need 3ds max import for maya

Hey eveyone dose any one have a working 3dmax import for maya 6 I d/l the one from alais but its still not working.

.3ds or .obj?
3ds is only max iirc,
but u can use the .fbx plugin for maya which is free to export from max to maya. or the trial of deep exploration will do it.

if u need to import .obj, the bonus tools from alias has a plug in to import .obj

Yeah, I use Deep Exploration for that kind of thing.

Heres another one that works better,, it keeps the UV's in place all the time..
