Doc Oc arms

i am having ALOT of trouble making the arms of the claw i made, can someone help, or send me an example of an arm

ALOT of trouble doesn't really say much, could you be more specific?

Maybe post some pics of what you have tried?

Look at this image, I'd recommend use an animation snapshot method to create the links/joint of the arm. This will allow you duplicate a large number along a path, they might then be parented to the path for posing or animation.

The claws should be the "easy" part since they're basically mechanical fingers. Once modeled the pivot should be at the placed base of each claw joint.

this isnt the arm, its not lookin good at this point, but ill jus post the claws, and on this one, i didnt use any reference(also cuz i couldnt find any LoL)

Okay, I'm pretty happy with model concept, but I'm still trying to get a good rig. The bend shown is from a non-linear deformer.

Hope the size is small enough now. Parried it down to a single arm, deleted all history, and zipped it. Note this is with Maya 6.5, if you need it for an older version, let me know. As stated previously, still trying to find a decent way to rig this for ya.

I can't quite remember how i rigged mine. I believe it was with the spline ik. I'll try and post a scene file for you.
