Animating Paint Effects

Hi,

This too is my last semester's project,...part of it anyway. I used Paint Effects and animated the curves in the Attribute Editor and when I rendered out the paint effects to make it look like the plants growing from the soil up, the paint looks like it is running as you can see from the left side of the picture. However, the right side of the picture looks fine... I couldn't figure out why.

Can anyone tell me?

Thanks,
JL

Did you select all of your strokes, or brushes, and key them ALL?

I had this problem with grass once, and I found that I was not selecting all of my strokes correctly.

PFX has SO many settings, that it's easy to give up, so what I ended up having to do was to create, and animate one stroke, then duplicate that stroke over, and over again go get the look I was after.

I'm going to be trying this at work on a shot with foliage soon, and I'll let you know what I did to get it to workuser added image

I think I grabbed every curve and set key frames from the attribute editor and the time line. Still don't understand why some of it runs when I animate it and some don't.

Thanks,
Jamie
