Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

background color

I'm trying a test render of a small animation and under my camera attributes/environment i've set background to black. When i render a tiff sequence the background is the viewport default grey color. I've just tried another render this time using tga files and this time the background is black as i want. Is there a reason the tiffs are rendered ignoring my specified background color? Thanks.

Well i should now user added image The amount of settings in Maya can be overwhelming!!

I have a related question. In the atrributes for camera under output settings they're are options in there for mask. Is this the same option as is in the Render globals? Also, does this setting in Render globals overide the setting in the camera attributes or vice versa? Thanks again.
