SubD's

Ok I am very new to all of this and I hope this is not a stupid question. When i model I start with Polys and then convert to SubD's. Knowing this i was wondering how you texture SubD's? I figure that the Polygon converted to SubD's uses the same uv layout or do I not convert at the end and instead put a smooth on my Poly Model and then set up the UV's. Anyway any help with this would be great.

Thanks

I'm going to try to help out although I'm not an expert in this field. You texture Subdivisions just as you would Nurbs or Polys. There is nothing different between any of them. The texturing process for all 3 basicly uses the same tools. Subdivision modeling is just another way to model. Just don't go back and change your mesh after you have UV mapped your model for texturing.( Note ) UV mapping has nothing to do with changing the geometry of your model, meaning you don't have to do anything special to a sub'd model for the UV mapping process. Hope this helps out a little.
