This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
that's quite a nice spaceship there, the only thing I'd say is that it needs more detail on the sphere thing, but you could do that with displacement maps.
Is that an ambient occlusion render? did you do it in mental ray? I've been looking for a mental ray ambient occulsion shader for a while now.
Technically, I hope to someday be able to model as well as you.
Artistically, the ship looks mirrored. There are so many cool things going on that draw your eyes to them that you can’t help but notice that the same cool things are on the other half of the model as well. Kind of like there’s too much symmetry. I don’t know how to explain it any better than that.
The model looks wonderful.
I too would like to know what kind of a shader you used.
look guys, this is not a secret but when one firm produce a computer game, the art design of
units(for example) must be keep out of forums .... but i already post the ship and here is the
wire and poly count ....
I want to thanks all of you for your comments! THANKS!!!
Nice ship bud
You say the render was using Turtle.. Did you use any special lighting (like GI joe?) Or was it lit using something in turtle ?
I havent tried Turtle out yet
