This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

thank u
here is a quick screen cap, i started a little texturing on the suit, and the head is finished texturing. just finalizing the shader a bit with the help of miss_fast_skin tools
Wow that's amazing. If you don't mind me giving some comment, though, I would think that the visor would not be the same color as the rest of the helmet, but a little bit transparent. Alos the metallic circles look great, but they are too flat. I know (or assume) you probably dont want to make them stick out completely, but a tiny bit off bump wouldn't hurt. Every thing else looks amazing, especially the scratches and stuff and the shininess looks great too. Keep it up!
all the surfaces have bump maps. obviously, the visor will not have any of the little circles bumped... its a smooth surface.
this is just a screen grab of the view ports.
the visor does not need to be transparent for visibility.
its infared and/or has a hud on the inside [.... i think :p ]
That head, if he had eyeballs, I would have told you to stop taking and posting pictures of real people. Thats amazingly photorealistic, fantastic job.
