HELP!! How do i create something using text...

What i want to do is use text to create something...
Lets say i type bla bla bla in a certain place, and then i look into maya, and see that what i have typed is the code for making a square...
I want to type in a lot and in the endresult have created lets say 3 cylinders, 7 cubes, and have them moved, scaled, etc, so that they create a human. How do i do that? Where do i have to type in my text to have it make what it would.

AND IF IM NOT BEING CLEAR MAYBE THIS'LL HELP...
lets say i type 1 to make a square, and 12 to make that square twice as big, where do i do that...

WOW, gl understanding this , PLZ HELP

Fear of Death is what drives most humans.
Medicine, Technilogy, etc, are mostly made
to live longer. Yet you don't know what
happens when you die, and you're so afraid
of it. Religion is there to make you believe
you know what happens when you die, to
take away your fear, but the truth is, you're
afraid of what you don't know. WHY???

I know this is an old post, but why not answer anyway?! To use MEL you need to enter script into the command line which is at the very bottom of your screen (under the animation timeline). Be advised that MEL script is VERY finicky, and case/space sensitive. I recommend "MEL Scripting for Animators" by Wilkins/Kazimer.

Besides the command line I described above (the purpose of which is to enter simple commands such as moving a cube along x while simultaneously moving a cylinder twice as fast along y, &c), there is the script editor (windows.general editors.script editor) where you can do more complex MEL scripts (ie creating plugins, &c). MEL is also used in the expression editor to aid animation.

Good luck with it all!
