Baking including texture

Hi guys, as my other thread has said, soon I'll be in a position (once I get my model down another 200 polys) to bake the detail from the high poly model on to the low poly. I have never done this before though have a few tutorials in my favourites on how to go about this. Though, they only include baking the model itself with no texture maps included, will my texture map automatically bake to the low poly model by following the same procedure or is there another step?
