High quality rendering mode - artifacts

When I apply a texture to an object and then go into high quality rendering mode the texture is covered in artifacts. Can anyone explain why this happens?

No fixes? Ok, well is it just me getting this problem, or is it something that's common?

Its always a graphics card issue. Thats all I have to say user added image

damn, no more graphics cards off ebay for me then user added image
