This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
This is a new project i've decided to embark on... Myself in 3D. I'm going for a toonish style (shader wise) but I want to put quite alot of detail into the model.
The end goal is to rig then use for afew animation sketches!
nice work, the slightly cartoony likeness to the features is cool.
The only thing I might exaggerate is the nose area as it is slightly more bulbous and would be shown to be so by a caricaturist. That entirely depends on the style you're after though and it does look great as is
Thanks, i'm having alot of fun with this model, everything seems to "slot" into place now, especially with the help of your tutorial! Was getting an ok result before but I couldn't keep a clean mesh and still get the creases in the places I wanted them... really good method you present there, many thanks!
Mr Tickles:
Cheers, im not going for charicature but i'm going to go back to my face, nose and mouth (especially that bottom lip!) need more work and still to attach my ears and add hair (can't hide that bald spot under the xmas hat for long hehe)
