Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
sorry, people here dont take kindly to cracked software.... but i dont see the big deal, although it is illegal, as long as you dont make money with it, i say its fine,
and as for that question, use depthmap shadows...
this kind of look ure after requires a lot of skill and usually global illumination its not so simple as just adding one light and wont be something anyone can really tell you without u learning from experience
here is a thread from CGtalk this forum is the largest of its kind and many pro's go here this may help u get an insight into how complicated things are but if u start from the begining one day like me u might get there. https://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=190232
when you create a light, go to the attribute editor
go down to light effects and click the checkerbox next to the lightfog attribute...... then you should see a wire sphere around the light, if its a point light, if its a spotlight, you should see a wire cone and so on..., inside the sphere or cone is where light will appear, you can increase the size of those....... now make sure depthmap shadows are on on the light
