Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

So, which do you guys think is better for animation:

an 8 mg ATI, or a Quadro 4?

An 8mb ATI card is no good for anything in Maya. Are you serious? Comparing the two is like comparing the value of Gold to the dirt in my back yard user added image

Yeah, i read that before in one of your posts and i'm still baffled how you do it user added image I'm not happy using my Geforce 2 pro which has 64 mb's. I guess you've learned how best to work with it.

Things work out for me, but I have no idea what I'm missing out with my small gfx card.

So please tell me guys, what's it like having a 64+ gfx card?

edit:
I think my card can handle 24/32bit in uxga screen-resolution, but my TFT screen has a max resolution of 1400 x 1050 (sxga+).

8 mg,, you ar joking right!!!!! man 8 mgs is nothing near minimum requirements.... i've got a 128 mg Ti4600, image planes, high polygon count scenes, No problem at all!!!!!

I think this joking around about 8megs came about after I mentioned that I only have 8MB VRAM (AGPx2)on my laptop (!) in some other thread.

But I actually have only 8mb (max).
Im doing fine user added image.
