help pls(.avi file resulted very big)

Hy guys!

I just made my first maya movie! It has 3050 frames and resulted in a 145MB avi.
I need it much smaller so i be able to put it on a web page. Can i do something to result a smaller movie? Or can i make this one smaller?

You can compress it using a codec, but your going to have to have another piece of software such as premier or after effects etc.

To use Adobe AfterEffects, i need to have some .tga files after Maya render...

Can you please tell me what are the settings when you render for obtaining this .tga files?

You can just import the AVI file you made then export it as a MPEG of what ever you want, you dont need to have the image sequence.

If you wanted to have the image sequence have a look at the thread titled "how to Render a Movie" above.
