Kurts Tree Frog Tutorial

Hey all ...

Once again I am trying something organic ..I know hard way to go but then again what is not hard in maya . I have spend a couple days on this . I just wanted to post what little progress i have . I been cleaning geometry on the frog before i go further ...

Thanks Kurt once again for a nice tutorial . I dont know what i would do without the tutorials .

Also man i didnt know the neat trick to clean up vertices once you delete edges and wanted to share that if no one else new ...

delete edges < in booleans alot of them > and then go to object mode and then vertices and hit F8 on keyboard and then select the whole area you was working on and hit delete .... HUGE TIME SAVER. Thanks kurt that helps a bunch for me ....

well here is poly so far and one smooth ....

trying to get geometry right. Not much to C and C but if you see something wrong in anything let me know ...i think i got all four sided lol

Also is there another easy way then just using booleans to join like the legs ? just wondering what you all do ?

the only ways i cn think of is to booleans or delete the faces in the two part u want to join
combine the two objects an then merge all the verts up (point snappin the verts comes in handy here)

lookin nice an keep goin

Now at SMU doing BSc 3D Computer Animation so its hard to get on here

Nice start mmoore,

I'll be interested to see your progress on this one. You should find it much easier now as you've worked through the dragon head and you should be getting to grips with some of the tools.

Take it easy,

Mat.

Hey there mmoore,

good to see you're making progress with him. I've not done this tutorial but as far as looking like a frog goes you're certainly getting there! Just follow the tutorial and he'll look great. Are you going to go the whole hog and texture him too?

Take it easy,

Mat.
