Sub-d's keep aborting MR render!

This keeps coming up every few times I render my scene and it aborts the process:

// Warning: (Mayatomr.Geometry) : BaseShape, subdivision surface contains creases on boundary edges which are unsupported and have been ignored //

// Warning: (Mayatomr.Geometry) : BulbShape, subdivision surface contains creases on boundary edges which are unsupported and have been ignored //

// Warning: (Mayatomr.Geometry) : BackShape, subdivision surface contains creases on boundary edges which are unsupported and have been ignored //

// Error: *Fatal* (mental ray) : mental ray encountered a fatal error. The system may have become unstable. Please save the scene and exit Maya. //

What does that all mean and how can I fix it?

Thanks,

-Brian
