Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

rendering exporting problems

i am having trouble with the rendering of partical systems such as a flame. exporting it to after effects to put together with another video(you know for special effects reasons) but when i do and i use the color key tool to take out the green screen even black screen it makes the inside of the fire pixelated or even takes it away. is there an easier way to do it

Hello

Firstly, how did you render the flame sequence out, is it a targa sequence of images?

Also did you render the flame with a green background in Maya which you removed in After effects?

I think you could have rendered the flame by itself with no background in Maya, this would have made an alpha map which you could use in After effects to place it onto the footage so only the flame is showing.
I havent used much After effects but i think that the alpha map should mean that you wouldnt have to use the colour key tool.

But i think its worth having a look around the internet though for some tutorials.

Hope that helps
