ACADEMIA is where I get my software from, they've always been really helpful. I don't think that you've got much chance of purchasing a copy of Maya 7 or 8 from any reseller now though as Version 8.5 is the current one.

Take it easy,

Mat.

No worries,

If your university/institute is maybe upgrading their software in the near future they will be moving to the latest version of Maya. I would wait until they do upgrade before you buy as Autodesk may well surprise us with Maya 9 before the end of the year.

I would steer clear of pirated software though as you don't know what damage you may be doing to your machine by using it.

Take it easy,

Mat.
