Global control and leg rotation problem

I've got another issue with my rig.

The rig's got a global control that drives the rotation, scale and translation of the whole rig - so I can position it etc.

I've one problem: When I rotate the rig, the legs get knotted! The rig rotates how it should, it's just the legs don't follow and become twisted, as shown in the image.

Any ideas how to resolve this? If someone would like to investigate the rig futher, let me know...

Thanks

James
