Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.
Hey guys i have to have this done by tues for class, its a simple human form.`Ive never done this subject before, i have the face started. Let me know what you think any suggestions would be awsome. Heres the reference pics
its looking good man i think u need a few more polys around the nose area to define it more it looks kinda flat
hes having u use a cube for a head? that seems rather odd lol but then teachers do like to make things harder than they have to be lol
u can show wireframe on shaded by going to shading > shade options > wireframe on shaded

Check out the topology sticky thread mate. Starting from a box is a common method of building a lot of things, as is starting with a single poly. I'm not sure what makes your teacher think you cant get a defined jaw starting from any other primative object but... oh well I'm sure he has a plan for you.
yeah i say check out the topology thread like petrol mention since it has helps alot in your case. i reckon you could use the spliy polygon tool more and really define the general shapes of the race such as the nose, eyebrows etc...
wow tuesday, thats now a long time from now ... goodluck
Well im trying to figure out how to finish off the neck area. She had me use the appnd to polygon tool to make the neck. But even though she said thats how she wanted it to look, it dosnt look right to me. Im having little challenge with this part
since youved only got a day or two, i reckon you should quckly download the free tutorial freddy i think its called, its a really quick way to do the body and the legs in your case since it may look like your struggling, im not sure ...
don't want to be too harsh, but I think the ref pics you are modeling from look quite out of proportion from what I can see. There are certainly some issuses with the overall proportions but especially the volume of the arm and torso does not seem to be right.
I suggest you get the ref's right before you go any further.
