Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.
hey guys, ived had a bit of free time today and decided to model another building heres a start of this building ... ived decided to model a couple of city buildings to be apart of my new city scene. hopefully this wont look to ugly
heres a couple of updates, finished the buttom part of the apartment ... donno what happen to the quality though its on production and up'ed the amb occlusion to 32samples
nice buildings man. Just out of curiosity, whats the order of your modelling in making these? Do you use one object with extrudes, or just a group of smaller ones?
thanks for the comment ... umm for this building, the method i really used was really grouping smaller ones till the end then combinding them all because i didnt really know how big the building was soo didnt just wanna start off with a block since if i do stuff to it, i really cant undo it the things such as the 4 colums at the front and back are different objects to things like the lower building etc. hope that mades some sense.

How do you get your in progress renders to look like rock on paper? It makes it very easy to see, and I would like to do that. Nice building, you seem to create architecturally amazing models!
its looks like the base of the building is sunken in a little bit and it looks a little odd. maybe when you had detail to the bottom it will look normal. hope this helps.
