Question regarding uv mapping

Is it possible to create several uv maps so that you get several colour maps on the same object?

Help is most appreciated. user added image

jepp you can. next time you uv map scroll in the optoins down there you can check a box "create new uv set". name it to your needs and there you go.

after that you have to link your texture to the uv map. window->relationship editor->uv linking->uv/or texture centric.

Okey thanks for your help but I still got one problem.

The uv sets seem to be correctly under the object "map" but when I press on them they just seem to make me see them in the uv editor. But it doesnt seem to make any change on the object, so the question is, how do I activate UV sets? user added image

Or perhaps the question is how do I link the uv set to my colour?

Edit: I got it working now, thanks alot for the help. user added image
