maya 8.5 question

i was using maya 7.0 for awhile and i just recently got maya 8.5 unlimited and really annoyed that when you create a primitive insted of it just dropping it in the scene, you gotta drag it out and create the size. this sucks cause i cant get accurate placement on the grid and such, anyone know how i can make this the way it was in 7.0? thanks

Under the creation menu, there should be a checkmark next to an option called "interactive creation," or something like that...

Just uncheck it, and you can make standard primitives the 7.0 way user added image
