Simply Maya IRC

www.mirc.com <-windows
www.bitchx.org <-linux
www.google.com < - find one for mac

Simply maya has an irc server up and runnign with not too many people on it from what i saw, so here is a little information



1. Get a version of IRC for your o/s platform
2. Fill in nesessary information to connect ie: Name, email etc.
3a. Click add in the network config sectiona and fill in the areas

Description: SimplyMaya
IRC Server: irc.simplymaya.com
Port: 6667
Group: Simply Maya
Click add.
Click connect.

OR

3b. fill in network setting click ok
then,

in status window type:

/server irc.simplymaya.com

4. Join a channel
/list <enter> provides a list of channels that are active
or
/j #simplymaya for main room
/j #<name> what ever channel you want to start

For Mac, ircle would be your best bet. I've used Homer also but that was back in 95 or so user added image

Out of curiosity, would anyone be interested in setting up a scheduled IRC chat sometime? We can make it a sort of Q&A session, as specific as you want it to be. I realize that many of us are in different time zones. We can accommodate this by setting multiple sessions.
