Fluid Rendering problem
Hi,
I'm having a problem rendering my flame animation using Maya 8.5 on Windows 32-bit with fluids. First of all I only seem to have the option to render to images files (sequential) - which is okay, I suppose, but I would like to render to AVI.
Secondly when taking a render of the running simulation, the "render current frame" render button creates the flame animation as it should using Mental Ray. However, if I use Batch Render to render the entire sequence, the results don't look even nearly as good. As far as I can tell, in the render settings, there is no differentiation between Batch Render and rendering the current frame using the "render current frame" button.
The only solution I can see is to manually render each frame one at a time using the "render current frame" button 500 times or just don't, as Batch Render doesn't produce the same results.
Both rendering the exact same frame.
Incidently, I don't get any view at all from the static frame render if I use anything but Mental Ray. I also have to view the particule simulation with smooth shading turned off as this crashes Maya if I add an Light Released value for the fuel/temprature.
I've attached an image of the problem. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong or whats going on?
