This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

RAPTOR

Anybody know where I can find some front/top/side views of a Raptor, I want to try to model one, you know, Like Jurassic Park?

Cool! thanks alot. THis would be my fist attempt at modeling an organic Character. Yikes. Not sure how its going to turn out.... but I am going to try anyways. Hey, Where are you located In Australia?

Sweet, thanks for the other link.. How do you like Melbourne? I got offered a two year contract over there, and Right now I live in St. Louis Mo Usa. So, it would be cool to have some insite about what you think about it. Whats the weather like anyways? Thanks,

Hey guys, got to work on it for about an hour, didn't get to far, let me know what you think. Its all Nurbs Patches, and Its not sewn or cleaned up yet, still needs alot of work, just trying to get the basic shape. Thanks,

hey guys. Here is another angle... Kinda making up my own muscle structure here, because I don't have enough references. Let me know what you think. I spent alot of time on the neck, making it look like its skin with muscles underneath it. Thanks,

Well, here is the top of the head, I think that the inside of the mouth/Jaw is going to be the hardes part. Not sure How I am going to do it yet... We'll see.... Think I will skip that Part for now and start on the body. THanks,

yep. all patch modeling, with tons of splines user added image Its Tedious, but it works. Got alot of work to do still, but just trying to get a rough start on it. Going to do alot of work on it late tonight. THanks for all of the replies,
