Hey Guys, i got a dvd player for xmas, im wanting to put all of the simply maya videos onto dvd so that i can watch them on my dvd player. How would i do this, coz a dvd is bout 5gig and the videos are under that but it doesnt fit coz its say how many minutes are left on the dvd and using them up.
And if you cant do that ...then no worry we have a large selection of cds (for playing on your pc) and dvds comming to the shop section in the very near future!!!
Dont bother to try
I tried some of the Buzz videos a few months ago and when I converted 1 video. (ex max 5 lighting) it was 1 hr long and divx compression after converting to dv sutable for DVD playback it expanded to about 1.8 gig. It startrd out as 100meg avi
I found it beter (and cheaper) to just burn them to a cd for playback on the pc.
I tried sonic DVD
dvd complete
showtime
same results

That's about right. But once you have that uncompressed file then just convert to VCD format and it will fit onto a CD...you can get about an hour of video onto a CD in VCD format.
I use NERO for everything. My home movies, when I pull them off the DV camcorder, are about 11 to 12 gigs for an hours' worth....then I just load them up into NERO and choose the VCD option and burn away.
It's when you try to uncompress something that's already been compressed once (with a CODEC) that you may encounter problems with turning the file into a VCD format file.
There are two major dvd formats. I can't remember the names but if you have tha latest dvd player should not have a problem with playback. Please correct me if i'am wrong.
