Problem with dynamic chain

Hey guys,

Ive modelled a pendant on a chain that I want to swing around.

There are about 15 links in the chain, none of them are touching. I added a gravity field to all of them except the top one, and added a nail constraint to the top one. I then grouped it all together, moved the pivot to the top and rotated it to the side, so when i play it swings down and gradually comes to a stop.

My issue is, as it swings, at about the seventh link from the top, it breaks off and the rest of the chain just falls down.

any ideas how I can stop this happening?
