No. It's a fan made project, incredible to say the least. I was one of the many creative consultants on it. This fan made project corrects pretty much all the flaws on STARWARS: A New Hope, and incorporates totally new sequences. There are over 100 corrections that have been made to Starwars for this fan edit. I cant believe no one has heard of this.

Are are some comparison shots.

Those shots are just the tip of the iceberg. The dvd is free and is now available to anyone that own the "official dvd" from Lucasfilm.

I cant believe you don't own the classic dvd's. They are dirt cheap. The Fan edit is free. It can be downloaded via torrent or via rapidshare. It is highly reccomended that you own the official dvd from Lucasfilm to better enjoy this fan edit. Lucas isn't against fan edits but I encourage you to buy the official dvd's.

But I do have those movies on VHS... just don't ask me where I got those from... user added image

And as for downloading, my dial-up connection kinda makes that impossible, but I'll try to get a friend to do it for me...

To anybody that is downloading a torrent or the rapidshare files for the DVD 9. You will need a fix for the menu navigation before you burn to dvd. I have a link to the fix when your ready. Not applying the fix will result in navigation error's in the menu.
