This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
Hi
I have exported a object to zbrush with UVs, I do a UV check in zbrush and it shows up this area and another as errors, I cannot see any overlap and have made sure that all the uvs are sawn any idears...............dave
"Your weapons are no match for ours! People of Mars, surrender!"
"Um, this isn't Mars. This is Earth."
"Earth? Earth-with-nuclear-weapons Earth?"
"Yes."
[long pause] "Friend!!"
Those are four sided, are you sure theres no overlap, non manifold polys once you smooth in zb. It may be worth relaxing them a little more in maya just to space them out. If its the inner ear area, you dont really need to worry.
But on the outside there looks to be a five sider on the edge (it may be your angle) there so that certainly wont help
for me, the topology of that ear doesn't look great...
anyway the button with the 2 blue squares next to the magnet head button above the alpha button on the right hand side should show you if you have overlapping UVs.
Hi hammer.horror
Yes the ear was put out a bit as the guy I am doing has what we called the wing nut ears(stick out) will fix in zbrush, I drove a London bus around Hackney for some time and with direction like those I would never find my way out of Hackney....LOL............dave
hahaha yeah some punctuation may have helped there.
This should highlight the shells in blue. if they are red, they are reversed. if there are parts that are darker blue, then they are overlapping. hope it helps
