Animate Newton's cradle

Hello
I will star a project and animate newton's cradle i have found a good refrenc video for the animatins i will use IBL.
So the thing i need help with more it is more like tips are how do i do the animation part because there are alot of movments. I'm working in Maya 2012.

Here is the video i found and as you can see alot of movment so how should i animation to get it as natural as posible. I try to make is as realistic as posibel an the animation will be about 20-30 sec using different camera angels so all tips are welcome.

I will look in to that and see how it turns out.
