Maya - render settings: orange

Suddenly some of my render settings display in orange, why?

Options set for that render layer i believe

That looks like a layer override if I recall correctly. You should be able to right click on the setting name and set or remove layer overrides. These would be the special settings for your new render layer (AO_layer1).
