In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Render out alpha throught transparent (glass, bubble) object

Hi,

i tried to render out a foam bubble object for compositing.

In the attachment you can clearly see what my problem is. I can't seem to get out the alpha from the inside of the bubble.

Anyone? It's pretty urgent user added image

Is your material actually transparent, or just reflective? Regardless, we need to see the material's settings.

There's a ramp linked to the transparency with a samplerInfo.facingratio attached to the .vCoord

Mental ray or software? Also, try rendering as a tga instead.

Any good information or tutorial links on how to do that?

Sick reel btw!

can you just render an id pass?

Mental ray TGA render attached. I can see some change, but still its not the result i want.

EXTRA: TGA is saved throught the Render View. When do a Render Batch, it doesnt make my file although it says it does!

Code:
// Rendering with mental ray... //
// Rendering Completed. See Console for more information. //
Thx for the support so far!
