About UV mapping & texturing

Hello,
I am interested in honing my UV mapping & texturing skills. I am more interested in hard surface UV layouts rather than organic.

I would like to jump to the UV layout & texturing phase instead of modeling the scene objects.
Please let me know if the following tutorials come with downloadable 3d models of (scene files) or do I have to model them from scratch.

1.The Med Lab - Asking about the room environment not the character
2.3D Exterior Set Design - Fantasy Landscape
3.Haunted House
4.The Complete Sand Speeder Project
5.The Spitfire

Once I know that the models will be available for download, then I can buy only the specific modules ( lessons/ chapters ) that deal with UV laying & texturing....that way I can better optimize my budget & time.

Thank you.

Sorry I missed this post, there's no scene files for The Med Lab or Fantasy Landscape they're some of the oldest tutorials on the site. I'll have a look for the scene files for The Spitfire and Haunted House because I think we have them on the site but I'm not 100 percent sure.

Regardless, I think the best tutorial of these when it comes to learning UV and texturing would be The Sand Speeder there's a lot more texture painting in the other ones whereas in that one you'd pick up more in terms of various techniques. The scene files are in part 1 of the tutorial and UV layout starts in part 10 so I added a couple of points to your account so you can check it out for yourself.

Cheers,
Nilla

About the haunted house, please let me know if you could find the model.
I would love to UV & texture paint the haunted house project as well.
Also, by chance if you could find the spitfire also.
Thank you again, I appreciate all the help.

bullet1968:
Thanks for the offer, man!
Do you think you could upload the spitfire in the resources section?
Sincere appreciation.

no worries mate...here you go. All UV is layed out ready to go. The model isnt super good but it was my first plane LOL. Just give the whole model a new lambert material then take a new snapshot in the UV editor. Save that mate then import into PS or whatever and paint away!!!! My newer Spitfire is MUCH better but I havent finished it yet LOL. When I have finished the new Spitfire I will upload that model into the resources...it will be a while though...I want this new one to be as good as Jay or Pixals planes (I wish LOL). Here is the link to my new model.....

Miss_Nova : Hey Nilla, I am also interested in "The Complete Apache Helicopter Project " & was wondering if the model will be provided (scene file) so I can follow along UVing , texturing, compositing etc. Meaning I can buy all the videos after the modeling phase.

Thanks in advance. user added image
