Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
Busy with the Surfing w/a Alien tut and I hit a small problem with ZBrush. When I hit Ctrl+A only part of the object is masked. I get the same behavior when doing a FillObject. Also, a cavitymask affects the whole object, but hit inverse and that magical line appears where one part is inverted and the rest is not.
Thought I'd ask the gurus here before running off to Pixologic.
don't quite get what your asking tbh.
if you CTRL click and drag outside the model you will delete al masking freeing up the model again, if you don't have any pores sculpted then yes you will most likely get a whole masked alien, what are you trying to mask?
I'm trying to invert a cavity mask. I did the following in the masking tool. Clear mask followed by cavity mask of the whole alien. Up to here things are working ok. I can see the mask applied to the whole object. When I hit invert only the darkened portion, shown above, inverts. The top section does not invert.
