Fur Issue

Hi all,

I have 2 issues for fur at the moment.

1. I added fur, and used paint fur Tool. Everything works, like direction... but not baldness.

I want to remove fur from the face, and I used the turerial here. I do the same things. I use replace, but it does not remove the fur from those sections!

2. when I move character the Fur move faster and they do not move together.

Thanks,

SA

I was able to remove some of the fur. but for some reason still I can see some fur when I render. However on the character there is no fur... I do not understand why it shows fur although I removed those.... user added image

If it is because of the UV.... how should I fix it? the UV seems ok. how to remove those fur which is outside of the UV maps?

I don't understand what you're asking. Post a screen shot of your uv layout.

OK Sure!

You see, there is no Fur on the body (tummy), but when I render I see some.

When I move those UVs a little in , and scale them down, the fur goes away....

Is there any problem in my UV maping?

To be honest, the viewport representation of the fur description is usually pretty rough. In the paint fur tool settings you can enable 'color feedback' and at least you'll see what the map looks like as you're painting. Or you save out a uv snapshot and paint up your baldness map in Photoshop and be done with it.

Thanks. I did that. It is all black. Means there is really no fur there... But still shows me the Fur when I render!

How I can fix this....?

Try this, select the bald brush and set the value to "0" now test that the brush to see that its working then flood the baldness now go to your fur attribute and there should be a button to "bake"..................dave

Thanks.

But there is no Bake in the Fur.
Please note that my baldness is good because the color of the body is totally black.
I removed all the fur for sure.

I can't find Bake. I have maya 2013

.......not really used 2013, but unless you bake maps in fur it does not updates the fur description, as dave has already said, even if your map looks completely black.
