batch render does render with more threads

Hello everyone, im using a hex core proccessor and im trying to get all 12cores to render but batch render keeps on crashing. I have try setting the Auto threads to 4 with 64 tile size and memory limite set to auto and it crashes, i tried same setting with threads set to 6 and it still crashed, 8 threads the same results, 10 threads and operating system crashes. How is this happening, does anyone understand this i've just had it with this programuser added image

I dont know if it will help but you could run the "run render diagnostics" also if you have access to another system see if the scene runs on that..............dave

I run the diagnostic and its tell me that dat some file have a resolution that is ineffient so i should use imf_copy to convert it to a mappable file to improve performance. My question is how do i convert to a mappable file and where does the file get saved to

if using maya 2013
cd C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2013\mentalray\bin

imf_copy.exe source dest

if using an older version then it will be in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya20xx\bin\
