Hey, just a question for someone that is familiar with technical drawings. Is there a simple way or nice trick to model off orthographic diagrams that are angled from an upper right viewpoint, say. I don't know if they are called 30 degree isometric projections or what. Just wondering if there is a good way to translate that into 3D space without measuring everything or re-drawing them.

Are you referring so an isometric view? This is typically represented as a 3/4 top left view of a part with perspective in mechanical drawings.

I have used them as a visual reference in the perspective view. But not to directly draw on top of.

Yeah, I think so. I was wondering if they could be modelled directly off. I have had some success with working on my object alternately at zeroed out rotation and also rotating it 60 degrees to match the drawing and working in the front view for example. Still playing around with it.

So I figured out if I create a new ortho camera, rotate it 45 degrees in Y and 30 degrees down (x) and do the same for my reference image, it works out pretty nicely. (My model doesn't exactly match up cause I'm taking the front and side ref images as more accurate).
