Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Fur renders

Hey all!

I'm having issues with my fur render. When I set the global fur to volume I get blocks, when I set it the fur shader to hair primitive, there isn't alot of quality. Kind of confused what I can do. Here's a shot of one of the renders, it wont let me attach more than this one LOL.

But this is the problem and final gather isnt selected either.

it almost looks like you have a checker pattern texture applied to your fur.

The quality will come from your render setting and the fine tuning of the fur attributes like base width, tip width and so on.................dave
