"wireframe on shaded" for a single object

hello. i don't know how it came, but now i have one object in the scene wireframed, when the "wireframe on shaded" function is off. when i turn it on, then all objects are wireframed. how can i get rid of it?

I think there was some kind of bug with geometry conversion that caused some left over poly cage node that needed to be deleted(haven't seen it in a while though so I'm not sure).

Easiest way to fix it is to export it as an obj, and import it back in.

select the object, go to the hypergraph, graph the selection, anything thats greyed out and not connected, delete!

hopefully that will fix it, it sounds like what Gen said

that was the cage of non-smoothed mode, while the object was smoothed. after i switched a couple of times with "1" and "3" shortcuts, it was gone. it was apparently a bug.
