Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Easiest way to fix these shadows/reflections?

Hey there

I've got my completed model here, but there are faces here and there scattered across the model that reflect light differently to the other parts. I was wondering what the best way to fix this would be (hopefully without any drastic changes)

I've attached an image and can supply more if needed.

Thanks!

No ideas? This is actually kind of important, not to sound pushy or anything, it's just a bother

Are your normals correct?

Imagination is more important than knowledge.

I thought that might have been it, but I experimented with the normals to death, even tried exporting as an OBJ without normals and reimporting, no luck.

Gettin Old.. I cant really see.

Would you be willing to post the .ma or .mb file?

Or even a different angle/wireframe shaded.

Learn from others mistakes, it takes too long to make them all yourself.

It just looks low poly to me. Or there could be unmerged verts.
