Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world

zoom in

is there a way to zoom in further without getting inside the object, that i can see more clearly the vertex, and not like this:

Just open the attributes of the perspective camera and reduce the near clip value.

Take care though if you reduce to much in relation to the far clip camera then you will get artifacts
