Maya helicopter effect help

Whats happening is a helicopter is going to be flying by and blow the leaves away.

The leaves quickly move away from below the helicopter.

I'm fairly new with Maya's Dynamics but is there a good way to achieve the effect the reference video gives?

I'm using some basic nCloth leaves to test with and I've animated a turbulence cylinder to show where the helicopter would move from. This is what I've got so far.

Thanks

Try using a vortex or radial field, you might have to use a combination of fields to get the result you want..................dave
