Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Actually there IS a tail, but its not easy to see. I will work more with that.

Its a poly model. (lowpoly = 511 faces)

Lookin good mate, one thing that could make it better is the eye, its kinda taller than it is wider, maybe rotating it a bit to the right? But then again I'm no dinosaur expert.... user added image

Hehehe, this is very cool. If it was a bit more rigid i would ask ya to add a toon shader. Actually, it just might work. Ok i will link you up to my favourite one. If im right, just put the shader into your hypershade... and then you should see a directional light or whatnot in the viewport.. this should be all you need.. dont apply it to your model. It just automatically gives a toonish look. So if you have the above textures.. it will take away the 3d'ish look.. and make it more 2d. Very cool.

Plz, post a render with that shader applied, and remember.. dont actually apply the shader to your object user added image.

Alright, yea i just did a quick render of my golem... and this is kinda what the toon light looks like user added image.. very cool. So, dont apply it, just put it in hypershade, and keep the previous textures applied. Yea, actually.. i dont even see a directional light.. but it works user added image.

click on the shader name that's usually above the shader description and save as pick a place the import through hypershade

to get to shaders you go through the maya thing up the top then pick shaders takes awhile to load theres a lot of pics

Thanks for wasting your time reading this line.
